PRE-CARNIVAL PLANNING

Our extensive experience in organising primary school athletics carnivals has allowed us to refine our skills and develop a deep understanding of what it takes to create an exceptional event.

Our team of professionals are equipped with the knowledge, resources and creativity to make sure that each event is tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each school. With over 1,000 carnivals hosted to date, we ensure we deliver a seamless and memorable experience for the school.

OVER 1,000 CARNIVALS

We understand the importance of pre-planning for a successful athletics carnival. We create a detailed runsheet outlining the order of events and timings to ensure a smooth flow throughout the day.

In addition, we create a comprehensive map of the carnival layout which includes details on the location of each activity and first aid stations to help guide participants and attendees. Our pre-planning ensures that all aspects of the carnival are organised and executed seamlessly.

EQUIPMENT & STAFF

We provide your school with all equipment to run a K-2 carnival (tabloid events) as well as the events for year 3-6 (except high jump mats, these can be hired through your venue).

We recommend our staff to run shot put and discus events which are technical and require specific skills to ensure each event is run safely. On the day of the carnival, our Athletics Carnival Coordinator will expertly teach your teachers how to run long jump and high jump to ensure those events run smoothly on your carnival day.

FAQ’s

Child protection policy

  • In order to guarantee our staff’s availability for your Athletics Carnival, you will need to book your Carnival on your scheduled program day (for eg; if we run your program on a Monday, you should (where possible) book your Athletics Carnival for a Monday).

  • Yes, we recommend you book a backup date with your venue, in the event of rain

  • Yes, we supply all equipment to run the K-2 tabloid events and the Year 3-6 track and field events. The only event equipment we don’t supply are high jump mats and these can generally be hired through your venue at the time of booking.

  • We will arrive at the ground 60-90mins prior to your Carnival starting

  • Depending on the size of your school, we will be packed up and finished by no later than 1430pm

  • The staff that you have assigned to your program for the term, will be the staff available for your carnival if it is run on your program day

  • ZING Activ have a Carnival Specialist who will be in contact with your Coordinator in the lead up to your event

  • No. Schools are responsible for making bookings for the venue and buses
